- TEGUISE, COSTA TEGUISE AND FAMARA BEACHES
Costa Teguise, in the municipality of Teguise, is the second largest tourist mecca on the island with great hotels and apartment complexes that exemplify the tourist model of this island where architecture and nature come together in harmony, always respecting the values of aesthetics and Mother Nature. Every year, Costa Teguise plays host to world championship wind surfing with the major riders on the circuit.
It is a quiet area, which despite, as we had already said, be the second tourist area of the island, is maintained at its beaches and tranquility in their schools difficult to locate elsewhere in the Canary Islands.
LAS CUCHARAS BEACH
This 640 m. long beach, protected by reefs, is of fine toasted sand and calm waters.
It’s one of the favourite places for windsurfers and offers a complete range of services from hotels and apartments to health spa and restaurants, hammock and sunshade rentals, life saving equipment and easy access for the handicapped. Good windsurfing during the summer.
LOS CHARCOS BEACH
Los Charcos is one of the main beaches of Costa Teguise. Almost joining Puerto del Carmen, it is about 300 m. long and 30 m. wide with fine white sand and calm waters despite the wind.
The tranquillity of the sea is due to the breakwater which shelters it from the strong waves and currents. There is a docking area and seaside boardwalk. Accommodations in the surrounding area as well as rentals for hammocks and sunshades round out the services. Public transportation available.
EL JABLILLO BEACH
Windy beach but with quiet waters sheltered from the sea currents by a breakwater, Jabillo is one of the main beaches in Costa Teguise; fine white sand along 150 m. by 20 m. wide with boardwalk.

Situated in a semi-developed zone of Costa Teguise, Bastián beach occupies 375 m. by 15 m. wide. It’s a windy beach of fine white sand with picon (small lava stones) and calm waters, and offers a complete range of services that include accommodations as well as rentals of hammocks and sunshades.
It has boardwalk and parking area. Accessible by guagua (bus).

Close to Arrecife and the port area of Mármoles, the Ensenada de la Caleta can be found in a semi-developed zone.
Much visited for its calm waters despite the wind that blows constantly, it measures 400 m. by 12 m. wide.
Fine grain white sand with some picon (small lava stones). Docking area available and can also be reached by guagua (bus).
Famara beach of more than 6 kilometres by 100 m. is the longest in Lanzarote. Fine golden sand with a constant wind and ever present strong swells.
Swimming is very dangerous due to the strong waves and undertows, but it’s ideal for surfing and expert windsurfers.
Close to the village of La Caleta, it can be reached by guagua (bus).
Services include danger warnings and security.
CALETA CABALLO BEACH
Close to La Santa club, Caleta Caballo is a small beach of fine white sand, 60 m. long by 5 m. wide with moderate waves.
