San Bartolomé spreads itself out through the central region of Lanzarote, creating an invisible frontier between the two types of landscape predominant on the island.
As in many parts of the island of Lanzarote, the primary sector which dominates St. Bartholomew is the production of wine, especially wine or white Malvasía semidulce, and the cultivation of grapes.
