The XXII Fair Crafts, organized by the Town hall of Antigua in Fuerteventura and the Group Mafasca is celebrated from the 7th to the 10th of May.

The Organizing Commission of the XXII Fair  Crafts, shaped by the Town hall of Antigua and the Group Mafasca, has published the Bases of Participation, directed those craftsmen of the island and the rest of the islands that should have interest to take part with their works and products.

The incriptions to participate on the XXII Fair Craft can be done up to wednesday the 25th of March 2009

Ciudad de Arrecife Marathon Lanzarote, November 29th, 2008

This annual Marathon in Lanzarote is becoming a tradition as this year is the 3rd time that takes place in Arrecife, the capital. In 2008 this Marathon is celebrating it´s 19th edition. The best thing is that no matter country or age you can be part of this event even kids can joy the Marathonkids which is the "marathon" for children where the youngest will have their moment of prominence in the city of ARRECIFE LANZAROTE MARATHON. The course

The course has been designed by the foremost runner from the Canary Islands, José Carlos Hernández Cabrera (Arrecife - Lanzarote).

1/4 Marathon by Teams

This prestigious road racing event consists of 4 individual races:

Marathon Kids (approx. 1 K)

A race for children from 3 to 14 years old organized by the local Government. All participants will receive a T-shirt.

1/4 Marathon 10,550 K

This is a one loop race course for all categories, for both beginners and experienced runners.

1/4 Marathon Teams (4 runners x 10,550 K)

1/2 Marathon 21,100 K

This race consists of two loops and caters for all categories of runners, both slow and fast.

Marathon 42,195 K

The marathon is a great challenge for all athletes. The race attracts running enthusiasts from all over the world competing to be the first finisher of the four loops. The cut off time is 5 hours.

The best date, at least for me, is the parade, which it will be on the 28th of February. This day, you can enjoy the best parade ever seen as there will be all the "Murgas", " Comparsas", musicians, the Carnival Queen, and all the people dancing with their best fancy dresses on the middle of the street. This is surely worth to be seen.

The new internal line has 34 stops, a daily frecuency every 30 minutes for a price of 1.15 euros per person (kids up to 4 years free)

These buses will go from Pechiguera to Las Coloradas.
