Carnival is a time of riotous fun and revelry and provides a wonderful excuse to escape from monotonous daily routine, ditch our everyday attire and have some incredible fun.

It starts off with the competition of the best “Murgas”a flamboyant and colourful parade of people wearing fantastic costumes, whistles and drums; much of the following spectacles revolve around the Carnival Queen, who is elected in a sensational grand gala, and celebrations ends with “El Entierro de la Sardina” on Ash Wednesday. So, you can expect several days of street parties, wear your dancing shoes and come and join the fun!!
