The Mirador, constructed in 1973, is located at 479 metres above sea level. The building is composed of two enormous cupolas, sunken to minimise their impact, and a semicircular stone facade which blends into the surroundings.
From here you can look out onto the Risco beach, the Río salt flats and the Chinijo Archipelago (islands of La Graciosa, Montaña Clara, West Roque, Alegranza and East Roque). The 2 km distance between Lanzarote and La Graciosa is called “El Río”, the river.
