The town of Órzola lies within the Protected Natural Park of Malpais del Volcán de la Corona and at the same time in the Biosphere Reserve that makes up the entire island.

The beaches along its shore are part of a low rocky coast of chalky material in contrast to the rest of the landscape created by volcanic activity.
