Mandinga tradition. They have worked with, among others, Randy Weston

This group of ten musicians from Senegal was formed more than 20 years
ago, and is one of the pioneers in bringing African music to the world.

Last year the North American group, Bang on A Can, appeared at the
Festival to perform 'Music for Airports' by Brian Eno. This year,
Eno himself, together with the German percussionist, J Peter Schwalm,
will perform part of his recent work, 'Drawn from Life', as well as
a series of works composed especially for this concert, in the incomparable
