Just had a memory of riding a camel to a restaurant that sat on a volcano. Had to note that this was about the year 1970ish, wondering the name and if it still exists. Trying to convince boyfriend to take a holiday to the islands.
Greetings from San Francisco, CA, USA

Hi
We stayed at Barcelo La Galea Hotel in Costa Teguise for last Christmas and it was fantastic. We would like to visit again for Christmas 2009 but cannot book the hotel on any website. Does anyone know if the hotel is closing for refurbishment, etc, please? I would be really grateful for any information. Thanks.

Hello Trish,
The reason why Barcelo La Galea is not available on the web is because price for the winter season have not been confirmed yet. The should be available probably in March/April. Regards

I’m asking this for friends who will be holidaying this summer in Puerto del Carmen, self-catering. They are keen cooks and are looking forward to bbq’ing. Is there a large supermarket anywhere on the island, Carrefour or similar? Where do the locals buy fresh meat, fish, vegetables?
Thanks!

I have just returned from a vacation in Lanzarote and visited Puerto Calero where I purchased some beautiful silver costume jewellery in a shop just up from the corner where they have the surfing equipment – would anybody know the name of telephone number of this shop. Thank you very much.

does anyone know of a supermarket or chemist in playa blanca that sells SMA baby milk?

Hi,
We are staying in Playa Blanca soon and normally hire quad bikes to explore the islands we visit.
Do you know if there are aany places to hire quad bikes in Playa Blanca, instead of organised tours?
Many thanks in advance

Anyone know why there are so many ‘quick sale’ properties in Playa Blanca at the moment. Some incredible bargains, almost seems to good to be true.
Thanks

Not only do I love the Island, but also the people who reside there. Personally, I have visited Lanzarote 3 times in the last 4 years and, will continue to support the economy there as long as they stay hospitable – forget the TV views, as you only find trouble when you look for it.
Never had one problem in the 7weeks – not even a bar brawl!

Just returned from Lanzarote, it was our first time there. We have great time and very fortunate with the villas that we have chosen.
The beautiful villas were an absolute joy to stay in, and comfortable. The villas are very clean and quite spacious and the villas owners are more than happy to help you out.The area is known as Montana Roja.

Hola!
Is this blog still alive???
Could anyone please tell me about car parking?
How much it costs? Are there free parking zones in the city streets and on the roads?
Gracias!
