The Spanish in general love to
party and the Canaries are no exception! Lanzarote´s
liveliest nightlife takes place in the capital, Arrecife
and in the two main resorts of Puerto del Carmen and
Costa Teguise.
Puerto del Carmen is
the “pulsating” tourist centre of the Island
with two merging areas: the famous promenade packed
with live music bars, pubs and discos to suit most tastes;
and la Tiñosa which unfolds around the old fishermen’s
port and it is soaked in a very special atmosphere.
In Costa Teguise there is a good selection
of restaurants, bars and pubs along Avenida Islas Canarias
near the Toca Shopping centre. If you are looking for
a taste of local nightlife, then Jose Antonio St. in
Arrecife is the place to go!
Bars are open all day every day until the wee hours.
Discos and nights clubs usually open around 11 pm and
close when the last body has left (usually around 5
or 6 in the morning).
