Haría stretches through the north of the island. This municipality has the highest relief and registers the most precipitation throughout the year, which can be seen in the landscape.

CALETÓN BLANCO

Windy beach with calm waters, Caletón Blanco, which in Spanish means ‘big inlet’, is the largest of the inlets making up the coastline belonging to the Malpaís de la Corona (badlands).

Close to Órzola, it is a half a kilometre long and 9 m. wide, covered in medium grain white sand that contrasts with the black lava rocks of the Malpaís badlands. Although in a rural area it has easy access including by guagua (bus). Some services available such as parking and refreshment stands. Camping can be arranged by prior permission from the Lanzarote Town Council (Cabildo).

EL RISCO

El Risco beach, an isolated rural spot accessible by foot, is 845 m. long by 8 m. wide.

Windy beach with fine golden sand and moderate waves.

LA CALETA
Zone: Malpaís de la Corona

Shore: fine white sand & pebbles

La Caleta beach runs along the coast where the volcanic pipes flow into the sea from the Malpaís de la Corona near the Jameos del Agua. It occupies an area of 60 m. by 7 m.

Its fine white sand with pebbles contrasts with the volcanic badlands it belongs to. Windy with moderate waves, it offers good conditions for windsurfing as well as a docking area.

Accessible by guaguas (bus).

A constant wind blows over La Caleta del Mojón raising moderate waves on its 100 m. by 13 m. beach.

Good for windsurfing, this beach of medium grain white sand and picon (small lava stones) is located in a rural area belonging to the Lanzarote coast where volcanic pipes flow out from the Malpaís de la Corona near Jameos del Agua, can be reached by guaguas (bus).

La Garita is the municipal beach in Arrecife; 810 m. long by 5 m. wide, fine golden sand with calm waters despite the constant wind.

Being situated in a semi-urban area, it has a boardwalk and services such as restaurants, refreshment stands, telephones, parking area, washrooms and even a children’s play area. Accessible by guagua (bus).
