Costa Teguise in the Municipality of Teguise is the second major tourist centre of Lanzarote. Its large hotels and apartment complexes represent the tourism model on this island where architecture and landscape join harmoniously in an aesthetic and natural balance.

LAS CUCHARAS

This 640 m. long beach, protected by reefs, is of fine toasted sand and calm waters.

It’s one of the favourite places for windsurfers and offers a complete range of services from hotels and apartments to health spa and restaurants, hammock and sunshade rentals, life saving equipment and easy access for the handicapped. Good windsurfing during the summer.

LOS CHARCOS
Zone: Costa Teguise
Long: 300 m.

Los Charcos is one of the main beaches of Costa Teguise. Almost joining Puerto del Carmen, it is about 300 m. long and 30 m. wide with fine white sand and calm waters despite the wind.

The tranquillity of the sea is due to the breakwater which shelters it from the strong waves and currents. There is a docking area and seaside boardwalk. Accommodations in the surrounding area as well as rentals for hammocks and sunshades round out the services. Public transportation available.

EL JABLILLO
Zone: Costa Teguise
Long: 150 m.
Wide: 20 m.

Windy beach but with quiet waters sheltered from the sea currents by a breakwater, Jabillo is one of the main beaches in Costa Teguise; fine white sand along 150 m. by 20 m. wide with boardwalk.

Full services and accessible by guagua (bus). The surrounding area offers accommodations, restaurants and public telephones.

PLAYA BASTIÁN
Zone: Costa Teguise
Long: 375 m.
Wide: 15 m.
Shore: white sand / small lava stones
Swell: calm waters
Category: natural
Situated in a semi-developed zone of Costa Teguise, Bastián beach occupies 375 m. by 15 m. wide. It’s a windy beach of fine white sand with picon (small lava stones) and calm waters, and offers a complete range of services that include accommodations as well as rentals of hammocks and sunshades.

It has boardwalk and parking area. Accessible by guagua (bus).

ENSENADA DE LA CALETA
Zone: North-east
Long: 400 m.
Wide: 12 m.
Shore: fine grain white sand / samall lava stones
Swell: calm waters

Close to Arrecife and the port area of Mármoles, the Ensenada de la Caleta can be found in a semi-developed zone.

Much visited for its calm waters despite the wind that blows constantly, it measures 400 m. by 12 m. wide.

Fine grain white sand with some picon (small lava stones). Docking area available and can also be reached by guagua (bus).

FAMARA
Zone: North-east
Long: 6.000 m.
Wide: 100 m.
Shore: fine golden sand
Swell: strong
Category: natural
Famara beach of more than 6 kilometres by 100 m. is the longest in Lanzarote. Fine golden sand with a constant wind and ever present strong swells.

Swimming is very dangerous due to the strong waves and undertows, but it’s ideal for surfing and expert windsurfers.

Close to the village of La Caleta, it can be reached by guagua (bus). Accommodations available. Services include danger warnings and security.

CALETA CABALLO
Zone: Club La Santa
Long: 60 m.
Wide: 5 m.
Shore: fine white sand
Swell: moderate
Category: natural
Close to La Santa club, Caleta Caballo is a small beach of fine white sand, 60 m. long by 5 m. wide with moderate waves.

It’s situated in a rural area, accessible by guagua (bus). Parking area next to beach.
