What is Canarian gastronomy like?
The gastronomy of the Canary Islands is characterized by traditional dishes that make up a great cultural identity. The strong contrast of its flavors, simplicity, variety of products, the sea and the influence of Latin American cuisine make Canarian food unique and unmatched.
What is produced in Lanzarote?

Other popular dishes are pejines, small sardines that are cleaned and then left to dry in the sun, one of the oldest dishes on the island.The most famous are undoubtedly the wrinkled potatoes that are accompanied by mojo, either red (or picón) and green. The potatoes are medium in size and arecooked with plenty of salt and water. This typical dish is a great accompaniment to both meat and fish.

The mimes of Moya are traditional meringues made with egg, sugar and lemon that originate in the island of Gran Canaria, but thanks to their flavor they have spread throughout the islands.
The most famous cheeses and wines of Lanzarote
These two products are the most characteristic of the island. Given the uniqueness of the volcanic terrain of the island, the grapevines have adapted to their way of life, which allows to produce a very special kind of wine.
The cheeses are known as conejeros and have something in common, they are all made in a traditional way and each of them has a unique flavor.
