What is and where is the Aloe Vera Museum in Lanzarote?
The Aloe Vera Museum of Lanzarote is a unique interpretation centre in the Canary Islands. It is located in the town of Arrieta, in the north of Lanzarote, and belongs to the municipality of Haría.
It is a place of tourist and cultural interest of exceptional value, where visitors are told, through information panels, about the value of aloe vera: history, cultivation, applications and therapeutic uses it has today.
In this centre you can also learn about the production system of this plant, from which you can also purchase ecological products such as soaps, cosmetics, etc.
What makes this museum different?
One of the characteristics that make the island of Lanzarote unique is that there is more than one aloe vera museum. Interestingly, there is an aloe vera museum in Teguise, Yaiza and Punta Mujeres. Four in total. Five if you count the one you can also visit in La Graciosa.
They are the only museums dedicated to aloe vera in the Canary Islands, together with the one in La Esperanza, Tenerife.
The first of these opened its doors in Arrieta in 2008 and thousands of tourists are already familiar with it.

What are the opening hours and prices to visit the Aloe Vera Museum?
The Aloe Vera Museum of Lanzarote is open from Monday to Saturday all year round. The opening hours are from 09:00 to 17:00 hours but it is always a good idea to check this before your visit as opening times may change depending on the season.
Be that as it may, what is certain is that access is free and that you have at your disposal a service guide in different languages (also free of charge).
The centre is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
