Current COVID situation in Lanzarote
In Lanzarote the current Covid situation corresponds to a level 1, a degree that indicates a low alert level. Under these levels, indicators of the epidemiological situation of the island, the capacity for assistance and the characteristics of the purulence and vulnerability of the population are taken into account. That is why the current situation does not imply restrictions in Lanzarote.

Entry requirements to the Canary Islands
Before knowing the entry requirements to the Canary Islands, we recommend that you make sure of the conditions and possible restrictions of the airline with which you travel to the Canary archipelago. These measures may vary depending on the country of origin:
- If you travel from the European Union or Schengen, there is no type of limitation and no EU-Covid certificate, negative active infection test, recovery certificate, or filling out the control form is required.
- If you travel from third countries and do not belong to the community of citizens of the European Union, they do not have any type of restriction to travel to the Canary Islands.
- On the other hand, there is also no impediment if you travel to the islands from national territory.

There is no restriction when leaving Lanzarote; nor at the points of entry to Spain.
International COVID Update
The latest available reports from the World Health Organization reveal that infections have risen by 3% worldwide, around 3.7 million cases. However, deaths have fallen by as much as 6%.
If we focus on regions, currently the areas with the highest level and percentage of infections are focused on Southeast Asia.

In Spain the situation is controlled, being only 5% saturation in hospitals. The ICUs are at 2.65% of their capacity, a figure that stabilizes the situation in our country.
Nationwide, there have been about 1,889 infections and 248 deaths. Currently, Cantabria is the territory with the highest contagion with 248 cases. However, these data may vary in the coming days since the spikes or infections may occur in other areas of the Spanish territory.
On the other hand, currently all age groups are controlled except in those over 80 years of age. Having a higher risk, the level of infections is also higher: 263 cases according to the indicators of the Ministry of Health.
Testing, counting and increased risk focus on the most vulnerable population: people over 60, pregnant women or immunocompromised population. As for the restrictions, there are none regarding schedules or capacities throughout the national territory.
Air, sea connectivity and open accommodation in Lanzarote
The island of Lanzarote is an island perfectly connected nationally and internationally, both by sea and air. There are currently direct flights with the 19 most populated European capitals and there are around 1,000 weekly flights of the 40 airlines that fly over the air territory of the island.
As for maritime transport, Lanzarote has the regular lines of Naviera Armas, Fred. Olsen Express and Romero Lines that connect the islands with each other.
Although the list of open accommodation in Lanzarote is subject to change, there are currently around 100 open accommodations available, so you will have no problem staying during your island holidays.
