Do you want to know the prediction of high tides and low tides in Lanzarote? Knowing what the tides are like can be very useful not only for fishing lovers, but also for lovers of water sports such as surfing, windsurfing or kitesurfing. And, of course, it will also be very useful if you travel to the island of Lanzarote soon and want to know where and when you will find the best conditions for your bath.
How and when is the tide full in Lanzarote
The phenomenon of tides in Lanzarote is, in fact, the same as in the rest of the planet. In order to know when the sea has reached its maximum or minimum height, it is important to observe what are those changes, phases and times that the tide experiences throughout a day. For this reason, we usually speak of high tide, when the sea water has reached its maximum height, or low tide, when the sea cycle has reached its lowest altitude.
Althoughit depends on the day, the time of year and the place where we are, there are usually two high tides and two low tides for each lunar day. And it is that the moon is the central axis by which the tides are regulated and varies between its highest and lowest height. By following the lunar phases and understanding how they work with the sea, you will be able to predict when sea water may rise above the earth’s surface.
Thus, for example, at the beginning of summer, if the first high tide in Arrecife is around 2:00 in the morning, the next one will be around 2:00 p.m. However, the first low tide will be around 08:00 in the morning while the next one will be around 21:00h.
How and when is low tide in Lanzarote
To know how and when the next low tide will be in Lanzarote you have to consider the lunar phases and the high tides. Taking into account that the sea level varies according to the phases of the moon, you will have to find out when the high tide or the previous low tide has occurred.
In this way it will be much easier to calculate the following since, in general, there is usually a difference of 6 hours between a high tide and a low tide.

The water temperature is usually average, around 21ºC and the waves do not usually exceed one meter in height. In case the wave is higher than 1.5 meters, swimming is prohibited.
Although it is a beach that usually offers small and long waves perfect for beginners, one day the tide may be rough, and the sea conditions will not be adequate for a few days
