After admiring the large crater, we will surround its eastern face to observe the volcanic tube, with a length of 7.6 km, of which 1.6 km are submerged due to an eruption during the last ice age.
Then we will descend and walk several kilometers in the central part of the Famara cliff, which extends along 22 km. From there, you can appreciate a wall of rocks that rises from sea level to over 500 m in height, offering views of the island’s summit, Las Peñas del Chache, with its 670 m, and the entire Chinijo Archipelago, including the island of La Graciosa.
Due to the altitude and the influence of the trade winds, this route offers a great diversity of flora and fauna, with numerous endemic species, as well as bird-watching opportunities that our naturalist guide will enthusiastically show you.
