What to see in El Islote?

Without a doubt, the best way to visit El Islote is to take a tour to the best wineries in the village:

  • Bodega La Florida: The construction of the winery dates back to the first half of the 19th century, being a living example of traditional Lanzarote architecture. This complex has a gourmet shop with local products, warehouses and vineyards that you can see in situ. In this bodega you can taste any of the range of white wines, as well as their new brand “Jameo”, made from volcanic malvasia, red and muscatel.
  • Bodega Los Bermejos: For many years it has had strong roots in the Conejero village, as this winery belonged to one of the most established and important families on the island. However, it was in 2001 when it was given a new twist to become the bodega we know today. Its wines are of the highest possible quality thanks to the good treatment of its grapes. You can buy any of the traditional range or some innovative ones such as the organic wines.
  • Bodega La Geria: This is one of the most important wineries on the island, being recognised nationally for the quality of its wines. In this winery you can go on a guided tour and see first-hand how the farmers deal with the grapes, as well as learn about all the winemaking processes. If you prefer a quieter visit, we recommend you have a glass of your favourite wine in the bodega’s tavern with wonderful views of the landscape of La Geria. Undoubtedly one of the best sunsets in Lanzarote.
