Undoubtedly, the great attraction of Tinajo are its volcano routes and what better way to know them than starting with a visit to the Visitor and Interpretation Center of Mancha Blanca, located on the road that connects the town with Yaiza. There you can learn how the Timanfaya Park was formed and enjoy some special activities such as camel rides.

Among all the excursions that can be made from Tinajo, the climb to the Caldera Blanca stands out. With a crater of more than six kilometers in diameter, this volcano is the largest in Lanzarote. Its formation as we know it today dates back to shortly before the eighteenth century. The path that allows the ascent to the summit is of low difficulty and is well marked, making it the ideal destination for families.
