Lanzarote Aquarium stands out as one of the most impressive aquariums in the Canary Islands, housing an enormous volume of over one million liters of water, distributed among 33 aquariums that offer a stunning display of hundreds of marine species.
Within the Aquarium, visitors will have the opportunity to see typical species from the Canary Islands, such as moray eels, breams, gilt-head breams, and combers. They will also be captivated by the beauty of tropical species with their dazzling and striking colors, as well as their diverse morphologies. Among them, clownfish can be observed alongside anemones, as well as firefish, pufferfish, and hermit crabs. However, what will truly astonish visitors is the chance to enjoy an amazing variety of sharks in our exciting underwater tunnel, which extends through a central tank that holds 500,000 liters of water.
Aquarium Lanzarote also features 3 touch tanks designed for both adults and children, where they can have direct contact and get to know some marine species up close, such as sea urchins and sea cucumbers. This interactive approach aims to provide an enriching and educational experience for all those who wish to immerse themselves in the wonders that the sea has to offer.
Our mission is to bring the fascinating marine world closer to all people who wish to enjoy and marvel at its underwater treasures, allowing them to dive into a moment of escape and connection with nature. However, in our commitment to environmental care, we do not forget the crucial importance of environmental education to ensure the future of our seas and oceans.
