The César Manrique Foundation, inaugurated in 1992, is located in the artist’s studio-home, which was constructed inside a volcanic dome and now houses a museum and art gallery.
The Cactus Garden is in an old quarry, shaped like an amphitheatre, in whose graded steps sit over 10,000 types of cactus. An eight-metre cactus sculpture stands at one side of the entrance and at the other, an old windmill restored in 1973 by Manrique. There is also a restaurant-bar and public facilities.
The Santo Domingo Convent was erected in the 18th Century and restored in 1991 as an auditorium and art gallery for periodic exhibitions of contemporary works. Seating capacity is for 300 people in two areas.
