This year will mark the 11th Arrecife en Vivo festival. Held every autumn, this cultural event brings together national and international artists who take over the streets to perform in Lanzarote’s capital.
With something for all audiences, it is a multi-venue festival that takes place in some of the most emblematic parts of the city. And one of the best things about it is that it’s completely free!
The dates for the Arrecife en Vivo 2024 event are already confirmed and will take place between 20 and 27 September and also between 4 and 11 October.
What are the main musical genres and artists at the Arrecife en Vivo festival?
The great thing about the Arrecife en Vivo festival is that it is not limited to a single musical genre. Its aim is to bring music to everyone, regardless of their age, with everything from parades to concerts for the crowds to enjoy.
Speaking of parades, there are batucadas, charangas, percussion groups and brass bands so the rhythm is always guaranteed!
And as for concerts, you can listen to bands of all musical styles including rock, indie, pop and electronic. In 2023, to celebrate the 10th anniversary, Anni B Sweet, Lady Banana, Def Con Dos, Niña Polaca and Akelarre were present as well as many others.
Lanzarote’s very own Freewomen is the first band to confirm they will be performing in 2024 so keep an eye out for more news on this year’s festival, as it’s sure to be an exciting one!
