When is the best time to travel to Lanzarote for 6 days?
The best time of the year to go to Lanzarote is between April and June and September and October. During these months, the weather on the island is perfect, with pleasant temperatures and little rainfall. This will allow you to fully enjoy the beaches, volcanic landscapes, and outdoor activities.
In addition, by avoiding the summer tourist season (July and August), you can enjoy a quieter experience and make the most of your six-day stay on the island.
How to organise your 6-day trip to Lanzarote?
Planning your 6-day trip to Lanzarote will allow you to make the most of this experience. What do you need to take into account to organise everything?
- Choose your dates and book in advance. When booking flights and accommodation, consider which options are closer to the main places of interest to optimise travel time, but within your needs and budget.
- Plan your itinerary, including visits to the most emblematic places of the island, and leave time to enjoy the local culture and cuisine.
- Hiring a car is the most recommended option if you want to have the flexibility to move around. Consider your needs and compare different companies to get cheaper prices. You should also book this service in advance to ensure availability.
- Prepare your luggage taking into account the weather and the number of days you are staying. Pack comfortable clothes and footwear, sunscreen, and everything you need for your plans on the island (swimming costume, sports clothes, going out clothes…)

To plan your trip most appropriately, one of the first things you must organise is your visit itinerary. What to see in Lanzarote in 6 days? Here you have a fantastic plan:
Day 1- Timanfaya and La Geria
Start your visit by discovering the Timanfaya National Park, a unique volcanic landscape. We recommend a guided tour to make sure you don’t miss anything of this amazing place.
In the afternoon, go to La Geria, a unique landscape thanks to its characteristic vineyards in volcanic craters. Here you can try local wines in a winery and enjoy the atmosphere.
Day 2- Papagayo Beach and Yaiza
Spend your second day in Lanzarote discovering the amazing Papagayo Beach, with its crystal-clear waters and golden sand. Take the opportunity to sunbathe and swim before heading to the next stop on your tour.
