Spearfishing areas in Lanzarote
As we have already mentioned, Lanzarote has delimited areas to practice underwater fishing. In total it has three areas that can be visited for lovers of this sport:
- Mala Area: right between Punta Pasito and Punta Tierra Negra.
- Playa Quemada area: between Punta Tiñosa and Punta Papagayo.
- Playa del Cochino area: from Punta Jurado to Punta La Gaviota.
Any of the three areas is a great challenge for the fisherman, but the Mala area stands out as one of the most demanding, where fishing must be done at great depth and, normally, in apnea. The second, Playa Quemada, is an area not so abundant in terms of fishing species. To get to the third it is advisable to do it by boat.
