Beaches

- Papagayo Beach. It is one of the most amazing beaches in the Canary Islands. It is located at the end of Los Ajaches and is a group of wild beaches flanked by high cliffs that isolate its waters from the wind.
- Flamingo Beach. It is an artificial beach with golden sand and calm turquoise waters. Surrounded by vegetation and a small promenade, it has all the necessary services for a family swim.
- Dorada Beach. It is a very tourist beach, but its sand and crystal-clear waters are a real attraction for visitors. Its great beauty is worth waking up early to get a good spot.
Villages
In the south of Lanzarote, you can find some of the most tourist villages of the island, but also some small villages that are worth discovering. Which villages can you visit?
- Yaiza. It is an inland village where its white houses with flower-decorated façades contrast with the dark landscape of the volcanoes. What’s more, you will find amazing landscapes and beaches surrounding the village.
- Puerto del Carmen. It is one of the most tourist villages of Lanzarote. Apart from its incredible beaches, it also has a wide range of leisure activities for tourists.

Making a selection of the tourist attractions in the south of Lanzarote is a difficult task. We have chosen only three, but we are aware that we have left out of the list many places that are essential for your visit to the island. What can’t you miss?
- Timanfaya National Park. Its landscapes, its colours… This whole area will impress you, whatever route you choose to visit this place. Leaving Lanzarote without discovering it is practically an unforgivable sin.
- La Geria. For incredible landscapes, the ones of these vineyards that grow in the middle of the volcanoes. You won’t be able to understand how the local wines of this area, which you should also try, come from this place.
- Los Hervideros. It is one of the most amazing landscapes of Lanzarote, where the ocean shows its fury in the middle of the rocks. If you combine this visit with the Charco de los Clicos and the Salinas del Janubio, you will make one of the best excursions that can be enjoyed on the island.
