Welcome to the Lanzarote Aquarium!!!

The Lanzarote Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the Canary Islands, with more than one million litres of water, distributed in 33 aquariums in which hundreds of marine species can be observed and enjoyed.

Lanzarote Aquarium has a great biological collection.

In it, native Canary Islands species such as the triggerfish, golden fish or "fulas", and beautiful tropical fish of different colours and forms, such as clownfish and its relation to the sea anemone, poisonous fire dragons, globe fish, funny lobsters and cleaning crabs can be found in the aquariums wide rage of species, amongst them, visitors will also be able to observe from our submarine tunnel a variety of sharks, swimming gently inside the main tank of 400,000 litres.

Aquarium Lanzarote has three touching–pools in which both children and adults can touch and enjoy animals such as sea cucumbers, starfish, sea urchins, coast–zone fish and small crabs while learning about their anatomy and way of life.

Our aim is to be able to show the marine world and all its wonders to everybody who wants to enjoy an evasion of reality by diving into the depths of the sea. However, we do not forget the great importance that an environmentally concerned education has in the future of our seas and oceans.

That is the reason why we have created what we call a "rubbish aquarium", a small recreation of the current state of some areas of our coasts, aiming to promote an environmental awareness that will make it possible for sea life to continue without the dangers of marine contamination.
